June 29, 2005 Ahoy all, I got a call early from Skip tonight. They pulled out of Philadelphia this morning, and sailed down the Delaware. They did have a pretty strong storm midday with up to 40 knot winds. The scouts must have had a real good time yesterday touring. It seemed that if they weren't the one on the tiller, they were below taking a nap. Reportedly around 5 hrs each. They decided to stop at the Summit North marina, which is in the C+D canal. Seems there were several motivators. Since there were no showers in Philly, I gathered there was a strong need for the stop. Secondly, it sounds like Longrider was having some difficulty with water in one of the fuel tanks. While the kids are getting some exposure to power boating, they're getting a real dose of how much maintenance they can be. I don't think it will be too hard to get that resolved. My chart of the C+D isn't real detailed, but the I beleive they are at Lat 39 33', Long 75 43'. Tomorrow, Skip said they plan to head to the Sassafras River, but they'll be taking their time enjoying the trip home.
